Glazing Workshop
Have you already tried your hand at the potter's wheel and want to finish your work? This workshop is for you!
However, if you don't have a ready piece for glazing, don't worry – you can buy "bisque," a previously fired vessel ready for glazing, at the studio. The price depends on the size and weight of the chosen item.
During the glazing workshop, you will learn how to give your works a final look and make them ready for everyday use. Classes are held under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor, in a completely safe and friendly atmosphere. You will learn various techniques of glaze application, materials used in the glazing process, and the best tools for their application.
Important: if the work exceeds 30 cm, an additional fee applies due to increased glaze consumption and the larger amount of space needed in the kiln during high-temperature firing. Cost: 70 PLN extra per piece.
After the workshop, your works will be fired again at 1220°C. They will be ready for collection in about one to two weeks. Your vessels will be fully functional – suitable for dishwashers and microwave ovens.
Organizational matters:
- Workshops take place when a minimum of 2 people sign up
- Maximum number of participants: 10 people
- Works should be ready for collection within 2 weeks.
- Workshops can be conducted in Polish and English
