First Time on the Wheel
First time on the wheel? No problem. These workshops will be a unique experience for you!
In this session, you will learn about different types of clay and how to choose them, the technique of throwing on a potter's wheel, and how to shape a vessel. Have you been to workshops once or twice before? No problem, these are the ideal workshops for you!
Don't worry if something doesn't work out, the instructor will be at your disposal and will always be able to help you.
In this session, you will have time to throw not just one vessel, but several. Of course, it all depends on the pace of your work, but usually, one to two pieces are produced.
The workshops are for all individuals aged 16 and up. This could be the start of a new hobby that will help you relax and meet new cool people.
Children between 12 and 16 years of age must come with a guardian who also participates in the workshops.
After throwing, the pieces will go into the kiln at 900 degrees, for 'bisque firing'. After firing, you can schedule another glazing workshop. In these workshops, you will give your work a beautiful color. You can also ask the instructor to finish your work for a small additional fee.
A few organizational matters:
- After the throwing on the potter's wheel workshops, you can schedule glazing workshops after 2 weeks have passed.
- Due to limited space in the studio, pieces will wait for you for one month and then be disposed of.
- Workshops take place when a minimum of 2 people sign up.
- Maximum number of participants: 6 people
- The entire session lasts 2 hours, plus 15 minutes for cleanup.
- Anticipated refreshments consisting of coffee and cookies.
- Workshops can be conducted in Polish and English
